I guess I'm lucky this is my first smart phone. The point of my post was that I never went into this epecting it to replace my many PCs. I don't expect every App to act like it's full fledged counterpart.
There are going to be limitations to all of them. granted, the YouTube limitation is birdering on ridiculous. "Hey! Use YouTube! We'll even preinstall an app for you! Oh yeah, forgot to mention, it is extremely limited right now. have fun!!"
So, I do agree with you to a point. HOWEVER.. Displaying video is NOT a simple task. Even full-fledged, full-powered computers can't come up woth a format that works for everyone. So, the fact that a pocket sized phone, with some computing capabilities, is going to have a tough time of it. Definitely not a deal breaker, in my opinion.
None of the limitations I have found on my Eris so far have been deal-breakers. I just look at it as "It's a smartphone, NOT a computer. It can't possibly do everything my computer can".
And, on a personal note, if you call what happened in this thread "flamethrowers", you really need to invest in some asbestos undies right now. I have been to some forums that'd make a cage fighter crawl into a corner and cry.....
