missed call, text, email, voicemail app?

I posted this on the other thread, but thought a separate thread might be needed. The phone is a Android HTC Inspire. I downloaded and used "missed reminder" but that is not what I am looking for. The above app was just annoying, beeping continuously. I know it can be set to whatever you want, but it is just not what I am looking for.

My previous phone listed 2 missed calls, 1 new voicemail, 4 new text messages, etc. when I unlocked the phone. That is what I want. I realize it has the VERY SMALL icon on the top taskbar with a message icon, but something a little more NOTIFYING, would be very cool.

Is there anything like this? I would be willing to pay for such a program.

I'm not sure whats going on with the program. More than likely it is my ignorance of how to set it up via settings, but I am having issues with Executive Assistant. It is now showing some missed calls, some missed emails and when I open email through the app it only shows SOME of the emails in my inbox. idk.

While in the app go to Menu> Settings> Configure tabs> Email and check to make sure your e-mail accts., check this under "Manage Accounts", are there. Also, make sure you have selected the "Preferred email apps." Note that this only displays new emails, from the time of set up.

yeah, I've had at least 10 important emails today and the app hasn't shown any. The missed calls that are listed wont go away, am i to be forever reminded of the same missed call?

followed the settings like you suggested, my gmail account was selected and in preferred.

edit; ok i guess the missed calls have to be cleared, that seems kinda laborous to me, seems like once you've seen the missed calls it should clear itself.

There is a setting to "Auto Clear on Launch", under each "Configure Tab". When you select this, it will clear the widget. As for the email, you have to select the update frequency. Remenber that you have to use the tabs on the widget to launch the app, in order for it to clear.

How can I add the widgets so it will show the email, sms, etc icons?

I have an Atrix and all I have to do is press and hold an empy space on my home screen to add it. You can have it as your lock screen too. You have to set it up in the app. though, by checking, use as lock screen. Configure what you want to show on the lock screen and thats it.

I have literally been searching all night looking for a replacement for Executive Assistant and have not found one comparable in appearance.

Still looking,

Executive Assistant still not working, contacted their support, but they didn't have any useful info for fixing the problem.

edit: why hasn't anyone made a good looking app like this that works? Am I the only person that likes to know when I've missed a call, or email etc.?
