Help Can I use my old LG charger on my D2G??

Just picked up a used D2G with no accessories to replace my Ally. I ordered new docks and chargers today, but in the meantime I'm left with my old LG chargers. I can use the micro USB cable and charge from my computer... but I'm wondering if I can use my wall charger too.

The brick says 4.8V - 1.0A. Is this safe to send to the Droid??

You CAN use it... But many people have reported all sorts of wonky things happening when they use non-OEM chargers. Weird screen behavior, apps launching themselves, etc. It's a known issue that these phones are very particular about their voltages and only moto brand chargers seem to work consistently. But you can try it, it won't hurt anything. I occasionally use the old wall charger for my LG enVtouch on my D2G.

The weirdest behavior I've experienced and read is touchscreen calibration pretty much going out the window from mis-touches to ghost touches.

This has just happened to my year-old Droid 2 Global... I have 3 or 4 chargers on a power bar for my BB, wife's VZ GNx, camera etc., all with micro-USB connectors. I did not pay any attention as to which charger I used for my D2G, but my screen is now often out of wack--can't type 1 on the soft keyboard because it prints 2, cannot activate the Settings, since it starts Voice Commands. Since there is no way to recalibrate the screen and since Google Maps keeps hanging up and rebooting the phone all the time, it's my last Moto phone...
