Hi All,

Im quite new to android platform. please bare with me if this question sound dumb.

today i bought a all new HTC Sensation. everything looks fine, at the start if i navigate to the tak manager it shows out of 558MB Total memory i have used 401MB (left with 157MB free memory). my question is even though im not running any kind of heavy application how come the task manager showing 401MB of memory used? is this normal or something wrong with the phone?

Thanks for ll feedback in advance!

That's regular. Is regular I think. it actually has 768mb, but 210mb is used by android and Sense. So that leaves 558 for YOU to use. But then all of your background apps, use RAM whilst they're running, so yes, that may leave you will a small amount of memory.

Although I do believe that 401mb might be a bit much. What apps have you got installed??

It's not really anything to worry about, you've only got 157mb ram free, but it makes no difference. Only when you get to 50mb free or something similar ,o only then should the phone actually begin to lag.
