I searched the forum and got mixed results,

i hear that there was an update for facebook yesterday?

so what is the latest version? is it still 1.1.2?

the reason i ask is because im wondering if there is a way i can get facebook notifications to appear on my droids notification bar? I want to know if i need to download the other facebook clients like blabber or not.

I saw something on Droudforums.net about checking a box for android for facebook under notification settings on the facebook main page, but that didnt help me at all.

any ideas? or should i just move on to another client?

thanks for the help guys!

If you look at the notifications settings on the Facebook app it only shows: Messages, pokes, friend requests and event invites. That is all you will get notified on. Not comments etc. So it is working but very limited.

Here is what I have. I have that app for my contacts with notifications off (You can keep it on if you want)
Next I have Bloo (make sure you get free version unless you want to donate) and I use that for my primary app for Facebook. It doesnt sync contacts but you will get comment notifications and pretty much see everyhting that shows in the feed. You can see profiles photos etc.

As for the update I didnt see one

Are you referring to the stock FB app on the Droid or one of the market apps?
I just have the stock on my phone, ver. '111' it says. I see that there's one in the mkt ver. 1.1.2 Are they the same app though? I have not gotten any update notice....
thx.
there was one update which is the 112 version. Download it. I never received a notification either. I think once you download that you will receive future notifications
