T-Mobile Phone Options

Since there's no hint that the SGS 2 is coming to T-Mobile USA, what other options are there?

I originally was looking at the Sensation 4G until I heard about the SGS 2 and read all of its reviews. The Sensation 4G will be a good phone but frankly not as good as the SGS 2.

For me, it would be difficult to switch carriers unless the merger actually goes through.

Thanks for any replies.

Nexus S, by far the best phone. It isn't 4G, but software from google without manufacturers and carriers screwing up pure google. Plus SAMOLED screen, no keyboard, how can you go wrong?

I have had the iPhone, iPhone 3GS, Droid, Droid X, MyTouch 4G, plus a few others in between, and Nexus S and the NS is the best phone I have ever owned.

Was going to post.l, saw topic week old. Mod, can you delete for me?

No reason to not post. Hell there are cases where threads that are months old get resurrected. If you have something to add then by all means:D

And if ever need a post deleted or need to get a mods attention then just use the !report button (bottom left of post, below user info)

Well, if the Samsung Hercules is all it's cracked up to be it should surpass the Galaxy S2. I think I'd prefer the Sensation over either of those phones though.

I'm thinking of waiting for the Samsung Hercules.

The Sensation looks like a good phone, but I'm not impressed by it. HTC Sense may be aesthetically pleasing to some people, but I can do without it. I'd probably use a launcher instead so there's no point in getting the Sensation for myself.

By a Google phone do you mean a nexus? I hadn't heard anything about that. If you mean it is just an android phone, then tmobile already has a few 4g android phones

Yes the Nexus versions, not just an android phone. AT&T will be getting a Nexus LTE phone and Googles usually makes a version for other carriers. Wondering if anyone heard or would think a version would come out for T-mobile.

Cool, I didn't even know they were releasing one. It seems too late in the phone's life to introduce a new one on t mobile though, the phone is over half way through it's life. Depending on how the AT&T and t mobile merger goes (or hopefully doesn't go) my gues would be that the next nexus would work on both t mobile and AT&T 4g networks.

Here is some info on the new Nexus LTE
Nexus LTE Rumor

Hopefully they will include T-mobiles band for HSPA+ or a T-mobile model if this story is legit.

That sounds more like the next nexus device which would make sense and then it should be available with t mobile 4g, I don't see them making another 3g only phone

The Nexus S is a huge disappointment specs and feature wise.

I'd say the Samsung Hercules will be the closest to an SGS2 variant.
