Help AD-HOC support for ANDROID

Any techno freaks here??
hey,i've got my first ever ANDROID MOb(GALAXY ACE)
But AD-HOC connection from my laptop is not detected by my PHONE,infact android doesnt support adhoc(i came ti know it).

So,now...
1.is there any app for android 2.2 to detect n access AD-HOC connection?

2.is there any procedure to create an access point by laptop similiar to one that is created by the wifi router??

3,OR ANY GOD DAMN WAY TO SHARE MY INTERNET TO MY PHONE THROUGH MY LAPTOP???(over wifi or bluetoth)
 
dude..u are right connectify has several problems....

soo i hav googled a lot and finally found "mhotspot" with that my ace is detecting the wifi and also my 5800 too

NOO NEED TO INSTALL IT

dude i did the one u had said on hotspot..
it didnt work on my laptop..
even my laptop doesnt detect the new wireless connection..
no indication that i had sucessfully done the trick with my laptop..
mine was vista..compaq hp..

yes dude,connectify sucks.my system had crashed.
instead we can try "mhotspot" ??
that is similar to the process you've said!!

yeh.. well connectify ws writen by d guy who discoverd dis hidden feature in Win7 but i think his time is up ;)
Yep sure.. anytin that you find easy..

I like this one coz everytime i switch on my computer all i have to do is:

Win Key + R > netsh wlan start hostednetwork (the previously typed command remains the next time you open) > Enter

:)

well I struggled with this issue for some time, here is what I learned:

ad-hoc can work on Ace, only with some of the custom ROMs, like cyanogen. Only issue is that it doesn't work great, the ad-hoc can not use security and the connection to google play doesn't work too great. If you are trying to connect to Win XP then ad-hoc is the only way to go ( at least that I have found).

if you have windows 7 then "most" people can actually run wifi infrastructure mode, such as connectify or other methods. Then Ace can run as normal wifi with security.
