New official MetroPCS update that "overclocks" the Ascend

As unlikely as it sounds Metro is releasing a FOTA to improve the Ascend. You will still have 2.1 after this update but the performance is supposed to be much better.
I read it here Huawei small update/upgrade, not 2.2 though...... and a friend that works at Metro confirmed it

I received the following info earlier last week. Anyone actually get this update? Thoughts? I'm not sure if I'm reading it right, but that processor seems under clocked like no other from Metro...

Okay. Increasing the idle speed from 245 to 400 isn't going to do anything but decrease battery life. That isn't overclocking.

I'd bet that they got the same OC Kernel that Isaac is using, Or one he has used before. I'd laugh forever...
