Help Desire Attempts To Reboot/Switch Itself Off

Occasionally my Desire will switch itself off, vibrate four times and then do nothing. The problem can only be rectified if I pull the battery and reboot the phone; but even then I some times have to wait a while before it will boot up successfully.

Is this due to overheating? Or is something else the cause?

I don't know the cause. My wife's Epic is a completely different architecture but suffered almost the exact symptoms. Several flashes/upgrades later, we got it replaced and the issue's gone. My guess is some sort off memory failure?

It can be overheating, but aren't you rooted on a custom ROM?

If so what are your overclocking settings? What kernel?

Kernel is: 2.6.32.38-leedroid-110416snq@drone#1

I haven't actually checked my overclock settings. I've just left them at the LeeDroid default for all previous versions. I'm now on 2.5.0.
