I think someone has been drinking the AT&T coolaid, 28.8 MBps download & 10.4 MBps upload. Yea, maybe with one test phone on the network but what happens in the real world; AT&T has a real credibility problem.
I'd have to agree. If AT&T's network can produce half the speed they're saying, VZW is ****ed. They've been bragging about their speed and blaming all the delays on how advanced their LTE is. And now ATT is going to come out and double that?
The Bionic and VZW LTE will be a pager in comparison.
Also, while it may be capable in theory or limited real-world tests, I'm skeptical about these promises in the face of throttling, once the network sees more burden.
Lastly, this news seems bigger than the Bionic. I'd say if their network/device can handle what's being claimed, they'll be setting their aims a lot higher.
I did read that same article, and def questioned if AT&T's numbers could really be that high. One thing I'll say about Verizon is that they're claiming 10-14mbps, but as there are so few users on LTE, they're getting over 20 right now. Is possible AT&T is using the numbers they're currently getting, and not what will be likely when the network is chock full of 4G phones. Or maybe they really will get that, I dunno. Wasn't Sprint promising 42mbps?
