Help Reboots are getting out of control....

I called Verizon about the re-boot issue and they sent me a new phone with instructions NOT to do the update.
Now my phone isn't rebooting, but I wonder when they'll release an update for the update.

Thats funny my last tb was rebooting and the tech guy tried to have me install the latest software and I told him no because it caused more reboots on my last phone. I got my new replacement today so i will see how this one is without the new software.

Ive had the OTA since day 1 of owning my TB. No issues with reboots for several days. But no it reboots several times a day.

Initially it didnt bother me so much. But it continues (seemingly) to get worse. Today it rebooted twice while i was actually using it. Once i was typing. The other i was talking on the phone and bam. Reboot.

Its accelerating my timeline on rooting.

I'm on DasBAMF 1.6.3 with the new radios and I've only noticed 1 reboot so far. However, I left my phone in a different room for a little while and it had dropped almost 20% battery. The only way to account for that much of a drop in a short time is a ninja reboot while I was missing. Frustrating .

I'm glad that I waited a bit before jumping on a the Thunderbolt for my next upgrade. Seems like it's more trouble than I really would care to have. I like the larger screen compared to my Incredible and I'm sure it has much more performance but with rebooting issues abound, I'll hold off and see what other goodies are coming on to Verizon's line of smartphones.

Yes, definitely hold off... I'm starting to really regret selling my trusty iphone 4.

So I got the OTA and I still get reboots, sometimes the phone just turns off though. For example today my alarm clock didn't ring this morning, found the phone off while charging. Very unreliable now.

Is VZW doing anything about this?

If you have not done a factory reset then you shouldnt come on here complaining. If you havent already done so, do a factory reset and all your problems will be gone and you can enjoy your phone.

My original t-bolt camcorder audio didn't work even after the update. The replacement they sent me this weekend has a fine camcorder, but it is rebooting. This causes massive battery drain and over heating. Just for kicks, I stopped into my corporate verizon store to discuss all this. The rep. looked on his computer searching studiously and then remarked, "I see something about an update released for the thunderbolt on May 3rd...otherwise, I don't see anything about any other updates or issues. " Really...May 3rd...no other issues...??

I'm beginning to fear we're on our own here...:(

As far as waiting for Verizon to do anything proactive to help our situation, then yes we are definitely on our own. I have had them offer to sell me another line of service seeing as I was unhappy with the performance of my current line and my new phone. (Had it less than a month, but past the 15 days)
