Root MMS Question

Hey all. I have a question regarding MMS. I'm not sure if it matters, but I'm in Clearwater, FL. I have never been able to get my MMS working correctly on any CM7 build I've tried. I can send Pics just fine, but No go on Vid. I tried the settings from Tokenpoke's Guide (awesome btw, ty) The settings Nutmeg posted in MMS APN Settings For Both Carrier's.
And the settings Playful God posted (Was hoping since they were in the same general area as me it'd work.) I've tried Metro OFF 1.1 to 1.3
I tested each sending Vid to my wife's phone (exact phone as mine), and even sending to myself.

What is happening is, after about a 5 min wait, my phone says that it sent the Video, then again after about the same time I recieve the txt, and it says downloading. Once completed, I have a play button, with no video captured behind it, and when I hit play it says, I'm sorry your video cannot be played.

I've tried flashing back to stock, and reflashing CM7, several times. Re downloaded the files to make sure I didn't just get a bad flash, ect.

Nothing seems to work. I would think it was maby just my crappy carrier, but for the fact that it works just fine when I send vid from Stock.

I really love CM7, so much faster, and smoother than stock, so if I have to I'll just do without MMS. I'd prefer not too though of course! lol.

Has anyone had similar problems, and found a working solution?

Another Floridian! I used to live at gulf to bay and Hercules! Haha holiday now. There are a few of us here...

Anyhow...do a full wipe and flash the new build (5/21) and metroff 1.3. Forget about setting apns (apns are empty this build...something from cyanogen not Isaac) and you should send/receive pics just fine. Not sure about video...never tried. Good luck

So. I spent a little while on the phone with Metropcs today. I wanted to see if maby my APN settings needed to be changed due to my area. Didn't know if they farmed that out to other companies. After a long explanation to the rep about what MMS was, and having them talk to a few managers, the response I got was. We do use other carriers for MMS in some areas. Not mine apparently, and that Video is not supported in any area. (Even though it works on stock as a feature in the phone.) They do not offer Video over MMS only Pics. I flashed back to stock on my wife's phone during the conversation, and sent my friend in AZ a Video of my cat playing in my livingroom with a toy mouse.

Then explained to the rep that I had just sent the video out on my wife's phone, omitting the info about flashing back and forth. ( Didn't want to confuse the poor guy any more then they already were.) They paused mid sentance (or muted the line) came back and said the exact same thing agian, they don't support it, and then hung up.

Anyway, Anyone know if the settings change at all by geography? That's all I was really trying to find out from them, lol.

lots have tried sending videos from cm7 with no success, but remember this build was not meant to be on this phone, and that is most likely the problem:mad:, but with all the updates that cm7 get, you never know what the future might bring...:D
