Root Root Epic 4G using SD Card??? No USB Cable...

I don't have a USB cable. Back in November or December, I rooted my phone using the SD card method. When the Froyo update was released that first time, I was one of many people whose phones were bricked from the update. Sprint replaced my phone for free and now that I have time, I want to get rooted again but I don't have a USB cable. Every set of instructions I see are now using ODIN or Clockwork. Does anybody have instructions on doing it through the SD card zip file method?

Firmware versionn - 2.2.1
Baseband version - S: D700.0.5S.EC05 (There's no space between the ":" and the "D" but when I put them together on here, I got a smiley face >>>> "")
Kernel Version - 2.6.32.9
Build number - FROYO.EC05
Hardware version - D700.0.5
