Release Date Speculation

Let the games begin!

With AT&T getting the first SGII Variant I suspect they're going to do a staggered release.

AT&T (Attain) first, Verizon (Function) second, & Sprint (Within) third?

Starting with AT&T in July? Then Verizon in August & Sprint in September?

I actually heard that Sprint was 2nd but don't remember where, I'll try to find the link

I 've hear a late July release for the Within. Don't know if sprint is gonna release two flag ship phones so close together. I plan on getting the EVO 3D in early july (or one month before the within release) then return it for the within. After I get a feel for both phones I'll choose the better of the two.

Sprint Samsung Galaxy S2 Gives HTC EVO 3D 1 Month Headstart [Sprint Source]

Hoping the rumor is true as I can't wait to get my hands on this phone! Wonder if the specs will be any different from the original SII

I posted this on another forum, but it's relevant here as well.
Might be more clues to the Sprint Release window:

The SGS2 just got a confirmed release date for Verizon:
Samsung Galaxy S II confirmed for July touch down at Verizon - Phone Arena

Also there is speculation it will not be a 4G phone. This is not a factor for me because Phoenix AZ has no Sprint-4G at all & I won't sign a contract with Verizon...

Thanks, I just read the article and it looks like the information was incorrect.. heres the update from the article...

**UPDATE**
After all this, guess what? There was a miscommunication and the device actually coming out in July at Verizon is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, not the Samsung Galaxy S II. Apparently, someone at Verizon goofed. Nevermind!

I'm up in the air still. I like HTC, love my EVO. The glasses free 3d is one major factor, so is sense 3.0. I think glasses free 3d is the next move for 3d in general so to me its awesome. But........ The within/gs2 is so sickeningly fast, and touchwiz 4.0 looks pretty awesome as well. I just can't decide until I get these beasts in my hand to play with them. Uhh... I can't wait. I don't have an upgrade till January of 2012 either, so I'm gonna have to pony up a lot of dough or wait. I might wait and see witch one is better supported by the devs.

Then you have time to wait on any announcements or release for the Nexus 3, that's what I would do, but mines is in October and I might wait for a Nexus 3 IF there are any announcements.

I change my mind every day, but as of today I'm leaning towards the SGS2. I can keep my current EVO and put it on another line and not really feel like I'm missing anything from the 3VO.

Memory, Screen, Size, Weight, Durability, Kies, NYC and Video File Playback Formats are the primary reasons I want the SGS2 compared to the 3VO. I still think the 3VO will be a better phone for everyday use of a phone, but the SGS2 appeals to the gadget freak in me.
