When Are We Going To Be Getting The Galaxy SII Phones....

Are there other dual core devices scheduled for U.S. release before then?

there have been a few released already.
Atrix 4G - AT$T
Droid X2 - Verizon
LG G2x - T-Mo

and there are rumors of the Droid 3 releasing in June with Tegra 2 in it but i find this hard to believe since the Droid 1/2 were equipped with a TI OMAP SoC. so i think it'll ship with the new TI OMAP4 (pure speculation).

the Evo3D also launches in June for Sprint. so come the end of June, there will be a dual-core choice for each main US carrier, with more on the way. this is why i say Samsung is gonna lose some business here. a few are gonna get tired of waiting for Q3, and even more so with no official US dates announced thus far.

edit: yep, forgot about the HTC Sensation 4G also for T-Mo :p

Not to mention htc's phones (sensation june 8th; evo3d one day)

I think the problem with us is that the us carriers demand customizations to be 'different' (this is often beyond just frequency) and that causes delays. Also after hardware changes; they often want to customize the software which adds more delays.

As a consumer we don't want the carries customization(s) (which usually make the device worse not better). We just want the device :)

exactly! this is where most of the delays come from, including software updates. another big reason why i've imported a SGS2

Samsung is going to lose a lot of US business to other dual-core devices being pumped out before then.

I fail to understand why Samsung can't at least say something, even if it's heavily hedged. "We're hoping for a [insert date] release, but we can't promise" would save them a good deal of business. Lots of people would wait if they just knew it was going to show up eventually. It is frustrating when the carriers pretend it doesn't exist.
