FED UP with AT&T!!

High bills and cellphone charges limited minutes and limited data. Seriously. I'm either going to go Sprint or Boost Mobile. I tried numerous times to get my unlimited data back again with no luck what so ever!!! At least Sprint has unlimited everything. smh

If data is your thing you better grab an unlimited plan and hope it grandfathers.... I keep seeing articles that these types of plans are going away fast or they are getting throttling restrictions slapped on them.

The only thing making AT&T affordable for us is the family plan and being able to bundle 5+ phones... I think we pay too much for this stuff no matter what carrier .

I agree. Sprint has unlimited data but something tells me that it won't be around a few years from now. I guess if we want unlimited data we gotta go prepaid. Boost Mobile is an option.

Im a Sprint customer. Their coverage SUCKS. They are supposedly expanding, but expect coverage to be ohhh...well, at most, 50% that of AT&T. You can "roam" but it's bs. You can't actually make calls, send texts, or use data. Maybe once in a while in a freak situation. 4g is only in major cities, and ONLY in the heart of those cities.

That said, yes, Sprint is truly unlimited. Never any bs charges on the bill that need to be fixed. Customer service has always been good.

I'm fed up with paying for a service I can't actually use and am likely about to be added to my sister's AT&T family plan for half the price of my Sprint plan.

BTW, if you have unlimited texting, you can call and make them give you unlimited mobile to ANY mobile, so you may be able to drop down to a cheaper plan.

If you want unlimited data you can get it with a loophole in atts system. I did it a month ago. It requires the first iphone and activating it through itunes after a full wipe and restore on the device. You then call customer support and tell them you just got whatever phone you are using and want to transfer your new iphone unlimited edge plan to an unlimited 3g plan. Im sure you can find more info on it if you look for it but it is possible to get unlimited data even if you never had it.

Yes it allows you to obtain unlimited data through itunes during activation.

Not exactly. When Evo came out, Sprint started charging $10/mo for all 4g phones (was only the Evo at the time). Even with the $10 premium data fee, Sprint is still cheaper than Verizon and AT&T with capped data.

I guess it depends wha your needs are, I was paying much more at sprint, a I was getting a lot more in terms of minutes and data, but I didn't need all the extra minutes and unlimited data. Also, I had limited choices to reduce my plan with sprint. With att you have more choices to pick from and save money.

My experiences with sprint is not great. Sure they have unlimited data in theory. I say in theory because the network is so slow that it puts limits on the data. Using their data is an exercise in frustration. That puts a cap on how often u want to use it. 200kbs with full bars. 4g signal that is almost impossible to get.

If you don't need data, then get the regular "talk" plan which is priced exatly the same as AT&T. 200, 450, and 900 minute plans available. AT&T only offers 450 and 900. Not sure which plan didn't fit your needs of not having "all the extra minutes."

The price differences come into play when you need data and texting. Unlimited texting on Sprint takes you to a $10/mo more plan. With AT&T, you have to buy a $20/mo texting add on service.

If you use data, and text a lot, Sprint is cheaper. If you just need talk time, no data, no texting, they are the same price.

Even with the $10 premium data charge, Sprint is still $25/mo cheaper than AT&T for my needs, which are 450 min, texting, and data.

AT&T will willing to do unlimited data on 4G Atrix. The trick is that you tell then you are leaving AND you have to be in a position to ACTUALLY leave. In my case, I was less than 30 days from being out of contract and had had the Atrix for 2 days. They put the unlimited data on my account just for the asking. I am sure things would have been different if I had asked for it after I had the phone for 30 days and was locked into a new contract.

What do you mean you aren't able to make phone or use text and data??? Something must be wrong with your phone. I am able to do all of the above no matter where I'm at.

It's spotty. My husband has it, and he's using a decent device (blackberry). So I'm sure he's getting the best that can be had on Boost. It's good enough for someone who NEEDS unlimited minutes to stick with.
