Ok guys ever since I did this

http://androidforums.com/ally-all-t...ount-android-without-doing-factory-reset.html

with my wifes phone. My phone (where the original NanDroid came from)

has been saying this: Google talk authentication failed!!

It did it once on hers then it stopped. Then it kept doing it on mine.

So on hers I uninstalled Google Talk and I put the Nandroid back on my phone. That seemed to work. Then it started up again... Google talk authentication failed!!

Upset Much!!!

Now once you click the notificatin it then pops up a box that says this.

Authentication error

Google talk failed to login. if this is a google apps account, confirm that chat service is enabled for this account.

Please help!!

***EDIT*** I cant download apps and she can!!!

Thanks for trying

good idea. Death had me try that. Yes it works. However then it fails on the other phone.

You see I am attempting to use the same Nandroid on two phones and then just use my wifes email on her phone.

Its working great except for this issue.

Savoxis I think I am gunna pull my hair out.

Basically I am trying to get out of alot of work on redoing her phone.

Any more ideas My friend?

p.s. we also cleared the cache and Dalvik cache. Same story.

There is gotta be some file or somthing you could edit with Root explorer or somthing.

Im about to head out for a few hours, but if you can get a logcat of it failing its auth, it may tell me if/where this file is that needs modified.

Ummm... Maybe you can just remove the accounts DB (/data/system/accounts.db)
I would cp it to a safe place first it may not rebuilt itself on boot.

If that doesnt work shoot me a logcat to savoxis@gmail.com

Was this ever resolved? I have having the same issues: gmail accounts not updating automatically, android market not updating or downloading apps and constant repetative notification "Google Talk authentication failed". I have tried to restore my most recent nandroid, clearing the app data and cache, etc.

So far all I have been able to find has something to do with Google accounts in the UK with different domain names
. Any help on this is most appreciated!

Thanks!
