I suppose it's about time for me to say my farewells.

I suppose I might as well tell you guys, I will no long be an Ally-user.
I've grown constantly angry at this worthless phone, and am very disappointed in myself for ever buying one.

The only thing that has made it bearable has been Velocity, and the whole ROM making community here. Without my wired tether, I would have been pretty lost countless times.

Other than that, there isn't much I can say about this phone.

In the next few weeks, I'll be switching to my buddy's old Droid as a temporary phone to get away from the Ally, then I'll be upgrading to the Droid 3 once it's been released/rooted. I won't swap to the D3 until I know I can tether though, since that's probably the only thing I'll need root for. That's all I keep my Ally rooted for now anyway.

Anyway, farewell guys, it's been a hell of a run.

Honestly, I'll probably just keep it as another toy.

IIRC, I can still use it as a WiFi device even if it's not activated, right?

Ha ha ha you're stuck with it until you get another. J/K I'm sorry to hear about you hating this phone soo much. Its a cheap entry level phone with a full slideout keyboard. Having the keyboard is what makes the phone. If it wasn't for that I would have bought a used droid 1. Other than that you have to understand this phone wasn't expected to do much except give ppl the opperntunity to explore basic functions of the android OS. Eventually verizon was hoping you get fed up with it and upgrade to a much powerful phone. Get you hooked on android and buy an expensive tb 4g or whatever is what they hope on acomplishing
