Battery life is AMAZING

So, I unplugged this morning at 8. I am closing in on 7 hours, and my battery indicater hasn't budged. Still at 100%. I hope it isnt a bug just showing the wrong level, and as long as it isn't, I am completely happy with the stock battery life. Btw, I have EVERYTHING on, and screen turned to 100%. Listened to 20 mins of music through BT, and have about fourty minutes with the screen on. I am also using City at Night live wallpaper. Amazing.

It finally dropped one little notch. Thing is, I havent really used it. It has just been sitting, other than the 20 minutes of bt, and a few texts. The GPS only uses any power when something needs to. Wifi is better for the battery than the 3g/4g radios. Gonna see how long it goes, and if it is pretty good I'll post pics. In fact, Ill post some in a bit, and you can see 7+ hours, with only one little notch gone.

The default battery indicator on android has 10% increment. So it won't change until it goes below 90%. To see 1% increment you need app for that or go into setting/about/status. Still what you experienced is pretty good even if it's 10% drain. Samsung definitely has good handle on power management way better than HTC and probably on par with Motorola.

download gauge battery widget. it puts a percentage in your notification bar. it doesnt leave the full battery symbol for quite some time.
I am a minimalist. Dont really want 2 battery symbols in my notification bar. I usually have the bar hidden with lp, with only a few widgets on my homescreens. Most of my apps I use are set up on the dock. 30 apps there, and then my games are in my app tray. This way, the City at Night live wallpaper is displayed properly on this gorgeous All the bloat is hidden. I love LPP. I know it wasnt at 100%, but the bar hadn't moved. So it was still over 90% after 7 hours. Amazing.

YouTube - ‪Amazing‬‏

Sorry for the blurry video. All I had was my wifes DroidX, and for some reason it just didnt want to focus. However you can see, there is only one "notch" missing out of the indicater, and 7 hrs 30 mins since unplugged. And 7 30 mins of Wifi up time since unplugged. You can also see, I dont have the extended battery.

Yeah, something isn't correct with your statement. I definately wouldn't say the Charge battery is "Amazing". It is better than the others (4g) but far from "Amazing". With moderate use I get about 7hrs out of mine.

Past 25 hours (3 1/2 hrs with screen on). Still in the blue. Better than my DroidX with an extended battery. That's nothing short of amazing to me. Better than any Android phone I have had.

I think battery performance depends mostly on the individuals usage and settings. My bolt I can pull 32hrs easy on it. While others can't get 8 hrs. I see the same thing with the dc some talk about great battery life while others again talks about barely getting 8hrs out of a charge. Plus many other phone sections read the same way.

I am in now way an expert in anything . It's just what I observe with people posting . The dc sounds like a good phone but limited but nothing an update couldn't fix with the lag. I might persuade my wife to get either the dc or the galaxy s2 come november. I think she is over the slide out keyboard. She had to use my dinc and only realize she liked the phone after she went to her replacement devour.

You must use your phone like a dummy phone or I am seriously doing something wrong.
I made a point to say how long the screen was on for a reason. 3 1/2 hours with the screen on. With any android phone, the screen is going to be the largest drain on the battery. I do get good reception everywhere I go, so that helps. On my droid X with extended battery, if the screen was on for 3 hours, I was dead by the end of the day. With the Tbolt, if my screen was on for 3 hours, I only had 2 hours of standby before it was shutting itself off. Same with the Incredible. With any of my past phones, I would rarely use the live wallpapers. With the charge, it is all I use. I also would turn the screen to auto, with the Charge it is 100%, 100% of the time. As far as lag, I use launcher pro plus, and dont notice any lag. The phone is really zippy. The browser can be a little laggy, if I try to scroll before the page finishes loading. Once it is loaded, no lag at all. Again, to me, the battery life is amazing. Better than any other android I have had. My one complaint on the phone so far, is how long the camera takes to save the picture, and be ready for another. That, and a few simple features that are absent. Like the fast motion video that was on the X, no kickstand like the Tbolt, the fact the "home" button doesnt wake the phone... All stuff I knew about before getting the phone.

Ok, well all I know is my tweaked Droid incredible has better battery performance than does the charge.

Well with the first full charge of the extended battery, starting at 18:30 on the 28th, I had 28 hours with 10% before I started charging again.

There was a total of about 2.5 hours of talk, 3.5 of Hulu and internet TV, many text and emails, 100% on screen brightness during the day, and 8+ hours of sleep for me and more standby for the phone. This will definitely work for me while I'm on 12hr shift not worrying about getting to a plug.

We don't have 4g yet, but I should be fine when we do, I hope.

Just my experience for the day. Hopefully the battery will get better as it is conditioned.
