I tried to flash Apex v2.0 to my DX and everything was going well till I tried to reboot my phone. The Motorola M appears, then disappears, and repears a few seconds later.

I pulled the battery after a while and nothing happened, so I rebooted into recovery and cleard cache and did a factory reset. This did nothing.

How can I fix my phone? I have a nandroid backup on the SD card, but I can't get to it from recovery.

for starters....were you running Gingerbread when you flashed ApeX?...

if you can't get into Clockwork Recovery, or stock recovery...you will probablt need to SBF...

Hmm... I thought someone said it has been done lol
Since you so cleverly told me that it hasn't, I should rephrase my question.

How can I flash a rom to my phone without bricking it again?

to flash ROMS you need either the DroidX or Droid2 Bootstrapper....and the .zip file itself...that is all that is necessary to flash ROMS on the DX....and you need to be rooted of course...

the official GB update is landing as we speak however...so it might be a good idea to sit back and enjoy the show...let the dust settle before jumping on a ROM...there will be lots of changes and updates over the next week or so...

I'm using a verizon MiFi device, in the middle of the woods, so internet is slow as crap. I decided to sleep while it downloaded, and I woke up this morning and it was done. I installed it to the DX and everything is going smoothly.

Now I'm waiting for the actual owner (I was flashing a rom as a favor) to give me his login info so I can finish checking everything.

thank you
