Help Galaxy S2 Official Update rolling out KE7

Okay guys it seems like KE7 is out which will improve the ram & battery:

as it looks like its out for Basebandversion: I9100XXKE4 phones, but on this site its shows that you can update KE7 via odin:

am i able to update it via odin without breaking my phone even if i dont have I9100XXKE4 because mine is a Basebandversion: I9100XXKDJ.

I hope you can help me guys because i really need this update

I've no idea about Odin or rooting. I upgraded to ke7 on kies.

I got my phone yesterday. It looks like I have KE2, but I might be wrong. The build number is GINGERBREAD.XWKE2. I cannot update. I wouldn't know how to use KIES to do this. It doesn't show anything about updates or system settings (in the browser). The normal Android update procedure doesn't show anything as well.

I am still on KE2 also and Kies is saying that there are no new updates.
I am on O2.

Can I know how/where do you check for the latest updates for your sgs2? How come the link posted with the KE7 files are from megaupload and not from samsung? I could not find anything on the SGS2 website mentioning about this update. Only found this:

You need to use Kies to search for the update. Not all phones have it made available to them yet. Hook your phone up and it will notify you immediately.

Phone hooked, nothing happened. Or must I wait longer? Can't find anything in the browser indiciting a harware upgrade

Yuuup! no update for ke7. Tried it yesterday and nothing. sammy dont love me jke joke. but im guessing im going to havethe new to wait.... .or flash the new firmware xD. ill give some more time though.

btw writing this on my s2 was a pain. the text cursor keeps jumping to different lines! :-/. .

I did open samsung apps and found a camera firmware update. Did that. Found out I already have the latest drivers, I think it was through samsung app and not kies

By hooking up, you mean with the cable? Then I see a USB-icon, and the only thing I can do is press the home button, which closes KIES. Or do you mean KIES Air? For me nothing happens with both of them.

Same. Mine is international verison unlocked. No E7 update available in Kies.

Have you downloaded Kies to your computer? You need to have the software open, then plug in your phone. It will then communicate and automatically check for updates.

what does KE7 actually change?? im on KE1 lool. joke is its running fine but improvements wont hurt
