NDS on Acer Iconia A500

Hi,

Im going to buy this one (acer iconia a500). (i think so)

But I have some questions:
- Is Angry birds supported?
- There is an app that can NDS games (Nintendo ds), Is this tab able to play without lag or a bit laggy? Is the app supported? Apps: (nds4droid or Tiger NDS)
- How is your experience, is it good? Do you like it?
- Is there a real usb 2.0 connection? So I may be able to connect my pc's keyboard to the tab?
- Are there some other nice (HD/3D) games for this tab?
- How does Android 3.0 differ from other previous versions.
- Is the interface nice?
- How would you rate it high-end or low-end or middle-end?
- Is it a quick tab? does it startup quickly?
- What are the specs of CPU, GPU, RAM, Phone memory (only for apps), and max (micro)sd card support?

Sry for so much questions, but I just want to be sure if its a good tab.
Thanks in advance

This is a very lazy post, and by that I mean most of your questions can be found on on reviews and spec evaluations, so because of this, i'll only answer the questions that can only really be answered if you have the tab...
Yes, all the angry birds games are supported.
Not sure about the nds apps, i'll have a check later for you.
It is an amazing gadget. I've rarely touched my computers since I got the tab.
There are a few 3d games for it, there are a few pre installed on the tab, and several'more can be bought/downloaded.
The interface, in my opinion, is faultless. Pretty much like other android interfaces.
I would rate it high end, as you can do pretty much anything you can do with a PC on it.
It boots up in less than 30 seconds.

All other question I.e. ram etc can be found on any review or spec evaluation.

Try and go to a shop and have a play about with it so you get the feel for it.

What so many questions... you have not done your homework and want somebody to do it for you?

Q: Is Angry birds supported?
A: Yes, both the original and the Rio versions works fine

Q: There is an app that can NDS games (Nintendo ds), Is this tab able to play without lag or a bit laggy? Is the app supported? Apps: (nds4droid or Tiger NDS)
A: Don't even bother with both apps... buy a NDS (don't support piracy)

Q: How is your experience, is it good? Do you like it?
A: Very good user experience, Excellent when Rooted...

Q: Is there a real usb 2.0 connection? So I may be able to connect my pc's keyboard to the tab?
A: USB Host connects keyboards, hard disk drives & thumb drives

Q: Are there some other nice (HD/3D) games for this tab?
A: Have a look here and here

Q: How does Android 3.0 differ from other previous versions.
A: Android Honeycomb 3.0 is made for tablets - no other previous versions

Q: Is the interface nice?
A: The GUI is the same as any other Android smartphone interface (just no phone functions and no APP2SD functions)

Q: How would you rate it high-end or low-end or middle-end?
A: High end

Q: Is it a quick tab? does it startup quickly?
A: Startup real quick, faster than my Xperia Arc running Gingerbread 2.3.2

Q: What are the specs of CPU, GPU, RAM, Phone memory (only for apps), and max (micro)sd card support?
A: Have a look here and here and here

Tablet Memory = 16GB or 32GB (I bought the 32GB Tablet)
Max Micro SD Card Supported = 32GB (I also bought a 32GB)

There you go... Homework done!

cheers :)

Well sorry, some things I could have looked up.
But sometimes I dont get it.
Like on Acers website- it says that it has no bluetooth and that it has bluetooth.
Still one question -> is the Nvidia geforce a apart GPU or integrated in CPU. Apart would be quicker I guess

Thanks for all the other answers

Hi,

1) Yes, there is Bluetooth.
2) NVIDIA GEFORCE is integrated - not perceivably slower but uses less battery

Just an update. All emulators (e.g. PSX4Droid, ZodTTD, Nesoid, Snesoid, Gensoid, N64oid, Ataroid, Gearoid and Gameboid) have been removed from Android Market (Piracy issues).

Check out the Engadget Post here

I guess some developer is gonna get a bunch of copyright lawyer letters soon.

cheers :)
