Ok this might be a dumb question, but I'm with cricket and every month cricket allows you to download/upload up to 1gb. After that they slow your everything down especially your uploading on YouTube and androidvideo. My question is does me downloading the new update cm7/05212011 affect my data on downloading/uploading and if does is there anything that I can do besides connect to wifi when i go over my 1gb? I hate cricket data usage policy. I don't want my phone slowing down over sum stupid data usage.

I said that wrong, ok the question was now that I have CM7 the latest update installed, will that slow down my data usage? as far as it seem like now that I've installed cm7 i can go over my 1gb mark with cricket and everything still run smooth nothing slow down and I already hit my 1gb mark, so it seem like cm7 is allowing me to download more without the hassle of slowing my server down and pausing and playing during me watching videos on YouTube or movies on androidvideo like the stock version did, then again I do have skyfire 4.0 which is freaking awesome!

So with that being said I guess cm7 is good on data usage for now until I start seeing my server slow down from crickets crappy data usage policy which I have yet to see, I'm assuming that skyfire 4.0 and cm7/05212011 is great on data usage without slowing down your server.

wel atm i think so, but im with metro so you know there data... 1x pos, lol

Same experience here.Everything data related works well(even when I was stock+rooted) until ya hit the "magical" 1GB@3G cap in your billing cycle. Then, the thrill is gone 'til the next billing cycle starts or you have access to WI-FI.

My market activity & ROM D/L are my biggest data eaters & I've been using WI-FI for both to stretch out the 1GB/MO allotted by CRICKET to make it through the month before being throttled.

So, is Skyfire faster on 5/21 CM7 than the default Chrome and/or Opera-mini??? I'm on Metro, any browsing speed increase would be appreciated...
Flashed to 7 last night, restoring apps (and was finally able to get to this forum by Phandroid), charging right now prior to Metroff flash.

Try out the app "MASQED CRUSADER" to improve web browsing connections, both 1X/3G & WI-FI.
