My phone is stuck at the LG Screen however I can hold Back+Vol Down button to go into a screen that says S/W Upgrade Do not Unplug. It also has the MetroPCS logo and the LG logo. However I can't enter emergency mode(unless this is that mode I don't know)

I downloaded the LG Update Tool and The KDZ update tool and sometimes they see my phone but I haven't quite been able to get past certain parts of the process. It will say "phone isn't connected, or problem connecting with phone" KDZ can see my phone but it seems like the program itself is sorta buggy.

Also I'm using a V10B_00 kdz file. It's not my countries file I know that. I'm not quite sure where I can find a US MetroPCS Optimus M kdz file. The country code list seems to have vanished.

I was able to backup my nand and use titanium backup as well.

Also I've been at this for a few hours now and I'm pretty tired. Any help and insight I can get would be greatly appreciated. I'm so depressed right now...

Oh and this started happening when I tried to flash a new recovery to my phone.

Help please :(

I was able to use that method to return my phone to stock 2.2.1 only thing left to do is get my service back. I had to leave the house for work so I didn't get a chance to return my network to normal. I have a nandroid backup so I just need a way to get a recovery program and I'll be back in business. Any ideas?

Chances are since you've seen the white screen of upgrading unintentionally, your pESN/MEID might have been erased. This could be why you don't have service. Check this location to be sure: Menu -> Settings -> About phone -> Status. If most of the info here has zeros, it's erased and the network doesn't know who the hell you are, lol.

If your nandroid backup restores them, you're good to go. Otherwise you'll have to use a different method to restore it posted somewhere around here. I'll find it if you need it.

I'm not sure if I have my recovery boot still. I'm afraid to check because that's what started this and it was such a pain to get this back. I was literally 1 hour from taking it to metropcs and get an exchange(it hasn't even been 30 days yet) My main goal with the phone is to get cyanogen 7 running.

Do you know of a way I can install .apk without the market? I used to be able to before but I don't see it anywhere on the phone. I have the android terminal .apk and the gingerbreak.apk and they are both in my sd card too.

You can use ThinkFree Office to browse the contents of your SD Card if you haven't deleted the app. It will let you run .apk files.

Oh cool! I actually realized I could use wifi to download the .apks from my dropbox and I was able to do that. I'm currently installing gingerbreak but it doesn't seem to be working

its saying
Automatic update failed
an error occurred and su was not updated. A zip file (su-2.3.1-bin-signed.zip) has been placed on your sdcard, please reboot into recovery mode and flash it to update your su binary.

I can't do that without a recovery mode...:(

I can't get my network back, not sure what to do.

can you use wifi to go to android market? if so download anreboot. With that you can boot into recovery with just touch of the button, though i am unsure if it will work without root.
Another option is to connect to your pc and use adb shell and type in adb reboot recovery
