I'm new to Android so excuse my ignorance.
1. How do I delete icons I'll never use in my Applications folder, (I know I cannot delete the app itself but I can change the order of them on the App folder).
2. I'm trying both the Samsung and Dolphin HD browsers. So far they don't seem any better than the other. I don't seem to have the "lag" problem on either. What is the "lag issue and what is the advantage for the Dolphin HD?
3. I set up TouchWiz and it seems to work great, (except for question #1 above). If there is lag I haven't noticed. I downloaded Launcher Pro to compare but when I set up my wallpaper it zoomed in on the photo instead of using the whole picture as wallpaper. I played with it a bit but couldn't fix the issue so I went back to TouchWiz until I had more time to play with L.P.
When that time came I could not find L.P. in the Apps folder, so I opened Android Market/settings/My apps and saw L.P. was installed. When I clicked on it the "Open" button was greyed out and I could not access it. So 2 questions:
How do I access L.P.?
What is the advantage of it over TouchWiz assuming I don't notice the lag?

Download "homeswitcher" "easyhome" or one of the other similar apps from the market to access Launcher Pro. With LP, you have far more customization available over Touchwiz (including hiding apps in the app tray). I only experiance lag in the browser before the page is finished loading. Once the page is loaded, it is extremely fast and responsive for me.

OK, I downloaded "homeswitcher" and was able to bring up L.P. I tried again to create a wallpaer that included the entire picture but was unble to. Anyone able to answer the other question?
How many screens you have in LP? I think with the initial install you only have 3. If that is the case try this. From the homescreen, hit the "menu" button, bottom button all the way to the left. Now hit preference, then Homescreen settings, Number of home screens, 7. Now exit out, and try to redo the wallpaper. Does that help? If not, I will investigate further and see if I can figure it out for you.

I like LP because it gives you a lot more custimization. You get the ability to hide apps in the app tray, so all I have in my app tray are games. You get a custimizable dock. 3 docks of 5 icons. Each icon can be assigned 2 apps, that is 30 apps you can put on your home screen with out taking up any real estate, and be extremely easy to acces. You can hide the notification bar, kinda simple feature, but I LOVE it. ALL I have on any of my homescreens are wigets. I get full use out of my homescreens for my wallpaper. And with this screen, it is gorgeous. I hand my phone to someone, and they look dumbfounded by the fact there is nothing on it, yet everything is extremely accessable. I can pull up any app in a few swipes and a click. Yet, most people I hand it too, cant figure it out. Once you set it up how you want, it is yours. It becomes second nature. I would definately recomend it over the stock launcher. My advice is to play with it, see if you like it. Give it time, and really get to know it. If it isnt for you, it is rather simple to revert back to the stock launcher.

One piece of advice though, IF you decide you like it, go back to the stock launcher, and erase everything off of the homescreens there. It will improve your battery life/general performance by not having them there.

I finally figured an advantage of Dolphin HD over the stock browser. Dolphin automatically resizes the text when you zoom in or out so you do not have to scroll across to read the sentence. This is great when you use various forums often.

I still do not see an advantage of using another UI but TouchWiz for my use.

You taught me something....I did not realize leaving the stock UI with widgets etc would affect the battery life if you are using another launcher. I am using Go launcher and love it.

On the stock browser you can go to menu/more/settings/auto fit pages if you want the default browser to fit the screen.
