Root HTC Sense Stock Rom

I recently had to reformat my SD card because it became corrupt . As such I lost ALL my nandroids including the original backup of HTC Sense. I've seen several HTC Sense stock Roms, specifically RUU SuperSonic EvO 3.70.651.1 OTA. I'm a little lost though, what is the difference between the de-odexed and the odexed versions? I read up on them but still don't really understand.

Is this Rom the closest that I will get to the original, out-of-the-box Sense? Thanks!

Odex will be faster, deodex you will be able to use themes

Why are you wanting to get back to the stock sense rom, any reason? My guess is that deodex would be more like the stock sense rom, but I could be wrong

I have always understood both to be stock..odexed the most stock and the least customizable

there was a good description some time ago on xda... it will take me a while to find it.

at one time the devs pushed de-odexed pretty hard core..then recently I have seen them switch gears and push the odexed versions.

I may be mistaken but is the difference being one is open source (theamable) and the other not. I may be totally wrong but this seems to be a good question.
