Help! Vaulty Deleted my video!!

Hey guys, I'm new here!! Looking for some help!!

I have the free Vaulty app for my Droid Incredible.

After I updated it, a bunch of my files disappeared???

WTF???

How can I get them back!!

They were extremely important to me!!!

Could be that the update created a new "vault" folder. If you look at your sd card, you should see a vault folder in /DCIM and in that folder there would be all your media with a .txt extension. Hardly secure, but clever.

How would I get to that?

I can't find anything under "SD & phone storage" on my Incredible??

You should be able to see the dcim folder in astro...open it and take a look. If you dont find it there I doubt it'll magically pop up on the computer(which sees the same folders) If it truly is gone from the sd card then you're outta luck. I think you just arent looking in the right place. Go check all the sd card folders.

There should be a file on your SD called "Vault2". That is where Vaulty puts the media it is hiding from the gallery.

Ugh..it's not in there.

I just downloaded Astro and wen into the "Vault2" folder under dcim and it's gone!!

WTF!!! how can it just delete itself like that?

All I did was install the update it had for Vaulty, and it literally deleted like five files, but all the rest weren't touched??

WTF????

Dude that sucks... it's supposed to hide your videos from your girlfriend, not from you! :D

Did you ever solve this problem? Did the developer ever answer you? Seems like they have a problem between "hiding" your videos and then finding them again.

I haven't solved this problem, and I'm totally bummed.

I've emailed the developer and messaged him on here too.

I don't know what to do at this point, is there a better, more reliable free app than Vaulty?

Thanks.
