Ok, so I did the signal trick, *228 roaming list update on my Gingerbreak 1.10 rooted optimus m 2.2.1. The phone programed and restarted it's self and is now stuck on the android logo screen just flashing, kind of like its looping. Is my phone bricked? I have been using super manager and changed my theme and got rid of that metro intro, hello, hello when the phone turns on.

Please can someone help me please, I really hope this can be resolved. Still can't believe a tower update would do this....

Im on a stock rom

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

have you tryed the lg support tool use the "recovery phone" option.it will restore the phone back to out of box state.

I tried the tool, do you think it would work if its stuck in a loop?

The thing thats confusing is my phone was working 100% fine before dialing *228 and updating the roaming list.

Could it be cause the phone was rooted and caused the update to crash and brick the phone?

Thanks for the help thus far

Any luck yet?
My guess would be that you deleted something and hadn't rebooted yet then the *228 update happened and you were forced to reboot which exposed the problem at boot.

***Good news***

This opti m I had was from an insurance claim, long story short my GF washing my old one in the washing machine. Yeah I know, so called asurion and they gave me a proof of purchase in an email then I just printed it out and went to my nearest MPCS corp office and they just gave me a brand new phone... So happy now, just crossing my fingers it doesn't come back to me cause the phone was rooted, odviously...

My handset is back to the way I had it now rooted and all...Thanks everyone for trying to help with this issue...
