Apple has morphed from a once responsible, reasonably well balanced tech company with some pretty good products, to one that has become out of control.
Where once Apple cared about making truly good products, cared about it's customers, and cared about making profits as well. That is no longer the case.
They are riding on the waves of the best marketing skills of any company I'm aware of. Deceptive advertising that reveals they are so full of themselves is revolting.
For example, consider this ad slogan:
"iPad it's Magical and Revolutionary"... oh please what a load of crap.
And believe me, I am NOT bashing them. I use their products along with many other brands, but to state that a tablet that doesn't even run flash is "Magical" is a total farce.
I could go on and on, but the bottom line is Apple needs to stop acting so superior and spending so much time on launching wars with Adobe, Google and the like. Suing everyone in sight just to prove that they can.
Apple disgusts me, and it's only because I see the good things they could accomplish, they already have good products, but hampered and limited due to censorship and their closed eco system that shuts out innovation.
Here's an example:
Swype. A great input system that is easy to learn if one applys just a bit of patience to learn it. They submitted their app to Apple and it was rejected with hardly a look. Why? Because Apple was jealous it worked so well on the iPhone and they would not sell out to Apple when an offer was made to buy them.
At the end of the day I wish I didn't have facts and experiences like this to share about Apple. It's a potentionally great company that is being ruined, (but it will take time) by a dictator that knows no boundaries and thinks he knows what is best for you and I.
Yes, yes, I now they are the top earners, making billions of dollars. However I can assure you there is only a few reasons for that.
1) They have good looking products and people buy beauty.
2) They make things very easy to use, and too many people are lazy.
3) They make it convenient which is something that sells.
4) And finally they have so much cash on hand from overcharging for products, that they can afford more marketing than any other company.
The only thing Steve Jobs is superior at is the marketing of the product.
He is no where near the visionary he is given credit for. He simply surrounds himself with brilliant people then takes all the credit for himself. He's greedy beyond comprehension.
Believe me I know, I am very close to Apple and have been since their inception.
