tips on the inevitable replacement of my beloved captivate: galaxy S 2 or infuse?

Galaxy S II has been released in the UK and a few other countries as well (I believe India just got it this week, and South Korea has it also).

If you're willing to pay a small fortune (excess of $700, likely more), you can have one imported - it will work on the AT&T network, won't have bloat, and will be as Samsung intended it.

Or you can wait until Q3 when they release the bastardized US version, likely missing features, but with tons of bloat and with some hokey name and subsidized by AT&T for your pleasure.

wish i was wealthy enough to afford $700, but i am not.

however, my question was more of the new infuse vs. future release galaxy s 2; which is better..... any thoughts?

thanks geek girl.

i think i agree.

the samsung galaxy s2 (s II) has a little larger screen, 4.3", than my current captivate, 4.0", and i really don't need the 5" infuse screen. hell, the new infuse is only .2" larger than the upcoming galaxy s2.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, the galaxy s2 does everything the infuse does, with the added speed of a dual core processor / os, NOT on the infuse.

looks like the galaxy s2, sII is the best way to go, plus it has 2.3.2 i think, more updated than the new infuse.

likely, if past history is a predictor, it will take several years for the infuse os to get the google update.

thanks!
