So I am one of those annoying people who will be complaining about my battery life...yay! :)

Here is the run down:
-HTC EVO Rooted with unrevoked
-Baseband version 2.15.00.11.19
-Kernel 2.6.37.4-cyanogenmod-01333-g153e6dd
-Rom OMGB version 1.1.2

Also, I'm new to this whole rooting, rom, kernels etc stuff so please be kind :)

I have downloaded setCPU and read countless posts about various people's specific settings and how they had fantastic battery life and calibrated my battery, even tried juice defender which just seemed to make my battery tank even more. I have noticed drops from 100% - 78% in just two hours with maybe just a few clock checks and 5 texts during.

Right now my battery life looks like this:
2h 4m 38s on battery
Cell standby: 52%
Phone Idle: 28%
Display: 17%
Browser: 2%
Voice Calls: 2%

In my reading about this issue I have heard various people mention that their phone is "sleeping correctly". I was just wondering how would I know that it was? / How do I fix it if it isnt? I feel as though mine is not because I had setCPU set to go down to 245 when the screen was off yet it's still destroying my battery. :(

ANY help would be sincerely appreciated ! :)
&Have a wonderful day everyone! :D

What is your Up Time and Awake time?

Sounds like an app is running wild. Try using Spare parts or Watchdog to see which app is going crazy

My up time right now is 26 minutes but I think its because I pulled my battery since posting. :/ I have spare parts but when I try and pull up battery usage, the app force closes :( I did just download watch dog tho! Thanks for the tip

I am running a rooted stock ROM with 2.6.32.27-netarchy-toastmod-4.3.1-cfs-havs-nocbc with SetCPU.

SetCPU settings:
988 max
245 min
Scaling: powersave
Set on Boot

Profiles:
Screen off
245 max
245 min
Scaling: powersave
Priority: 50

After a full charge through the night my battery estimate from BMW was over 24 hours. My battery temp is averaging 85 degrees.

You should give this a try.

I know you said you were running a stock rom, but is there a gingerbread version of that? I just got this one and am in love with gingerbread lol

awake time is right under your up time, and they should be different values, with awake being lower than up. If they are even, you may have an app or widget that's not allowing your phone to sleep, or you may need to downgrade your pri to the 177.003 version, as some people can't get their phones to sleep when running gingerbread with the 190 pri.

or it may be something simpler...when you click on your cell standby, what is your time without signal percentage?

Yeah they're the same value...I think that's why I was confused. Darn. I.guess my phone doesn't sleep after all.

When you say downgrade your pri to the 177.003 version, what exactly do you mean? Sorry...very new to all of this. Thank you!

Don't accept the upgrade and don't do it manually. Wait for a rooted version to be available. If you do the official Sprint update, it may unroot your phone.

manual way? do you mean wait for the source leak?

I am sorry, I should have clarified myself...yes I meant the manual way when the rooted version is available here on the forums.

Same here....my awake and up time have been the same since i bought it last week.....spare parts has not helped..

I also use an app called "Android Booster" to pinpoint apps that run out of control. I only use it for that one thing. I open the app and go to Utilities>Power Manager>Applications. It will show the Top 10 Power Draining Apps.

I don't know exactly what it does, but the pri has something to do with the radios, and many people have reported the same issue with the 190.x pri when flashing gingerbread based roms. you can downgrade to an older version by flashing it the same way you flash a rom. here's the xda page where you can get it

[Update] Radio 2.15.00.09.01 and PRI Version 1.77 - OTA 3.29.651.5 - Sept 23rd 2010 - xda-developers

BUT. first you should download the app spare parts from the market, click battery history, change the dropdown bar to partial wake usage, and make sure there's not anything going crazy.

if everything looks okay in spare parts then you can either downgrade the pri, or you can just wait for the new update to hit the devs, and the new kernel will probably fix everything

i could check in spare parts, if it didnt force close every time i clicked battery usage >:O I even uninstalled it, and then reinstalled it and same story. sigh.

i suppose i should just wait for the leak of gingerbread here! thank you for your help!

oh yeah! duh. I forgot that gingerbread borks that part of spare parts for some reason...

I guess if you haven't downloaded any new apps or placed new widgets on your homescreen, it's most likely the pri. so, yeah. I'd sit tight and see what the OTA brings. I guess just carry your charger with you for the rest of the week

yup..it doesn't work...

is omgb a cm7 build or straight gb?

i.e.
if you hit menu.settings is there a cm settings item in the menu. if so use the performance sub menu in there to set your cpu... no set cpu and delete setcpu

do you have the pro version of titanium, and how many apps do you have ..you might be able to narrow it down manually by freezing all of your apps... I will also try and find something other than spare parts to help you out.

I definitely agree with downgrading the pri...though you may see less range when using 4g. (very minimal)
