Root Desire HD Smokes Desire with Leedroid 2.4.1

I've always been pretty pleased with the speed of my Desire but I recently bought a Desire HD for my wife and was amazed at how much faster it was than my Desire running Leedroid 2.4.1. Since it's the same processor, from what I read I guess it's the HD's larger cache and better GPU that makes the difference. Now I'm beginning to wonder if there's any way to approach the HD's speed on the Desire. Maybe LeeDroid 3.0.7.

The desire has the Qualcomm 8250 1Ghz CPU, whereas the HD has the 8255. Its a newer generation.

My desire is mighty fast though. Custom kernels and overclockign is the way to go really.

Thanks, Dan, for reminding be about overclocking. I had been overclocked earlier but for some reason had turned it off after updating to Leedroid 2.4.1. Turning it back on again fixed the speed problem on my Desire. It's nice and snappy again.
