Root Bricked after bad restore

Used hack-kit to root my phone with no problems, flashed Gingerbread and all went well but I was under the impression that my phone service wasn't working properly so I stupidly attempted to restore the phone.

Now my phone just loops through the "HTC Quietly (whatever)" boot screen. I can use the recovery features by holding the vol down button and power when turning the phone on, but I don't know what to do to get the phone working again.

Can anyone help me? I'd really appreciate it. I just want this to be over with...

If you can get it into recovery have you tried flashing the GB ROM back onto it?

I need to get the ROM back onto the SD card, which I can't do at the moment because I have no way to get data onto it without my phone (as an SD reader between the card and the computer). I'll be able to soon though... :/

Well I'm not a expert by any means on rooting and ROMs but I'd say to try to start there. My SD card came with a adapter so if you can get one of those let us know if you can get the old ROM flashed back on.

Excellent, I was able to flash a new ROM and now everything is working fine... Feels so good to be able to take a breather...

It also must feel good to know that you resolved it on your own. Whenever I have an "OH S--T!" moment - and I've had my share of them - I'm always inwardly pleased when I'm finally able to resolve the problem on my own. It's a sense of accomplishment. :)
