I not bothered about custom ROMS just want to remove bloatware downgrading and then installing a custom seems excessive.

Yes, I'm afraid a Goldcard is the only way. You need to downgrade to 1.32 and then Visionary will work.

I know it's a pain, as far as I'm aware there is no way to get su permissions on 1.72 or 1.84 any other way.
