Phone won't unlock...help

Occasionally, the slide down to unlock doesn't work on my Eris, although right now is a first: It repeatedly won't let me unlock it despite putting it to sleep, then waking it up, etc.

Usually a quick sleep and then up will solve it, but I can't unlock it.

Is there any way I can fix this besides removing the battery...This will be the third time in 3 days I have to remove the battery. The first two were when my screen stayed black and wouldn't turn on...

I had this issue but MR2 fixed it. Did you get MR2 yet? Also, I noticed mine would freeze when a text message came in at the same time i went to unlock it.

Tried pressing all of those, the screen would turn on, but wouldn't recognize any touch.

I had the issue once before MR2 and twice after.

I actually just got it to respond to by swipe, but that's still weird and kind of troubling that it lasted over 10 minutes, on and off of sleep without responding.

Odd. Hope it doesn't happen again

I've only downloaded some of the top apps...facebook, yellowbook, movies, atk and weather channel.

The only odd thing I can think of is that yesterday yellowbook had an update, I updated it (got a freeze a few hours later), and today, it showed that yellowbook had another update (haven't updated again yet).

Might just be a glitch. Regardless, still love this phone.

My phone did this once. For the poster taking about freeze when you get a text...do you use a sms popup app or anything?

Bumping this thread because my phone froze and or stayed off three different times today, now it's actually starting to get annoying. And it's acting VERY glitchy (keyboard isn't reacting to touch like it should, constant minor freezes, etc)...any advice?

Again, all my apps are big, well known ones.....should I just wait it out and pray the next OTA update makes it better?

Mine just started to do this same thing last week and again today with no change in apps. I took it to the VZW store today when it happened and the guy just pulled the battery, installed ATK, and told me to run it several times a day.
