Early Upgrade Through Wirefly?

So, I have the basic individual plan, for my Evo that I got back in October of last year. I'm not up for any upgrades through Sprint, for the Evo 3D so if I wanted it, I'd pretty much have to pay full price to have it, through Sprint.

But, someone told me to check out Wirefly, and I've gone through all the steps, just up to the point where I can put in my CC info and actually pay for the phone, and it appears that they only want to charge me to the $179.99+$18.00/activation.

My question is, is this legit? Will I really get the phone for only $179? I read the part about Wirefly's ETF, which I'm fairly sure I can avoid, as I don't think I'm going to ever be changing my plan.

Please let me know. I'm wanting this phone, just can't afford the $600 right now.

Also, if I do upgrade, do I get to keep my old Evo?

Check it out! Wirefly upped the ante.... $179 :D

Wirefly prices HTC EVO 3D at $179.99

This makes things interesting. I wonder if BB or RS will follow with their own promo.... decisions, decisions....

Well the fact that they are brick and mortar stores I wouldn't expect them to match wirefly's price. They may bundle some stuff with the phone though. Personally I would pay the extra $20 if I have teh convenience of buying locally or through sprint.com and being able to return the phone or mitigate any issues a lot quicker than wirefly can.

When you complete the deal wirefly will verify the information through Sprint or you will have to verify through Sprint before the phone is sent. Or worst, they'll send the phone and find out it's not a new account and bill your CC. I wouldn't do it, if I were you. Wirefly is good for straight fwd situations, but they have a bad rep for screwing ppl and you are clearly going to be in the wrong.

Did you choose Renew/Upgrade My Plan? And then choose am I eligible and type in the info about your account? More than likely if you do not have an upgrade available then you will be charged the full 599.99 they are charging for no contract.

Update: I just chose Renew/Upgrade My Plan and then selected Am I Eligible? Under the Sprint logo and entered in a number on my plan that I know does not have an upgrade and sure enough it came back and told me that I didn't have an upgrade available until 8/13/2011 therefor the phone would cost me 599.99 on that line. To your last question, when you upgrade your phone you can keep your Evo. You can trade it in if you want or sell it on eBay or just hang onto it for a backup.

Check out wireflys website on the EVO 3d where it says, "Whats in the box" and you will see that it only says EVO 3D and battery. Someone needs to confirm this if true.

Since they don't have retail packages anymore, they probably don't know what is inside of it.

I'd be willing to bet the price of the phone on the fact it will be shipped with the same stuff as you'll get from the Sprint store, best buy, or Radio shack.

Yeah, the sales guy seemed pretty clueless. If it includes everything I will buy from Wirefly because its 20 bucks cheaper and I will save $50 on taxes.

Has anybody ever bought from wifely and gotten the included accessories?

Hi! Unfortunately, the carrier will not allow us to process an upgrade for you until you are fully eligible for upgrade (at the end of your contract). If you are not eligible, and you want to purchase the phone from us, you will have to pay the full price for the phone.

As for the offer, I can assure you it is legit as are we. :)

Please let me know if you have any other questions I can answer for you.

I just noticed Wirefly does not include the phone charger or headphones. They only include the phone and battery. Can someone confirm this because if its true then this is not a good deal in my opinion.

I am looking into this now. We get our phones directly from the carrier and offer the exact same phones and what is in the box as the carrier offers.

The wirefly deal is awesome if you didn't loose the discounts if you moved the 3D to another line.

I have a family account with three lines. All three lines have EVOs. Two EVO's I purchased on contract, one I did off. After Sprint messed up the SP thing, it jacked up my renewal on the line that purchased the EVO at retail price.

Sprint fixed it, and gave me my rebate back, but they did it on a line that already used it the year before. They said they couldnt give it back on the line that has not use the rebate. So I'm up for an full upgrade, but If I order the phone through wirefly and then switch the 3d to my line. I loose the discounts through Wirefly.... :(

Through Sprint directly I can switch phones all I want.
