Root List of Apps Safe to Remove in GINGERBREAD??

Hi...

Found various links in other forums for other phones listing apps safe to remove in Gingerbread. For example:

I'm looking for confirmation that the apps in the list above list apps also safe FOR THE EVO?? If these apps can be removed no matter what the phone or carrier, great...but if there are some EVO-ONLY issues, perhaps we should start a list here??

the list you are looking for is in the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/194918-rooting-dummies.html guide under bloatware in the after rooting section. i would post it here but the list is pretty long. it also lists the apps that are not to be removed as well.

Hmmm...I SWEAR I searched the EVO forum for this list..couldn't find..?? Embarrassingly I am familiar with the exact link because I referred to it before I rooted my phone late last year!

Perhaps someone might start a "Search the Forum for Dummies" guide for the dummy replying right now!

That being said, do you know if the list has been or will be updated for Gingerbread?? Thanks!

In root explorer how do i know what files to delete? I can't find all those metro app like Uno, metro411, top games, VCpay etc.... to delete them...

a of right now i would follow the list that is in the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/194918-rooting-dummies.html guide. checkout the after rooting section. there should be a section on bloatware. i would follow that for now until a new list is out and verified.
