I posted in the dinc 2 section but it's about dead over there lol so I will try my luck here instead. I am getting ready to make a purchase and want some of your input here.

Both phones have the same cpu, gpu, and ram so why does the bolt crush the dinc 2 in quadrant? It doesnt make sense to me but I am sure I could be missing something here.

To be honest, not sure why the Q scores are different. I haven't really played with the Dinc2 for longer periods. And since benchmark scores aren't really a great judge of how good a phone is overall, you're better off playing with both in store, seeing how you like each (though they're gonna seem similar operation-wise being both HTC Sense). Go play with apps, test the smoothness of operation between screens, etc.

Between the two, you're basically going to be asking yourself "better battery vs bells & whistles". You trade 4GLTE and a Kickstand, to get better battery life and Global option on the Inc2. The Inc2 is also lighter.

Wasn't trying to be snippy, sorry it came across that way. I got my bolt today so this can be closed. Thanks to any and all who tried to help

Congrats. Hope you enjoy it! You don't get off that easy though. :)

You created a thread to help you decide which phone to buy. You went with the Thunderbolt. Just curious as to what swayed you to the TB vs. the Inc2?

i know the OP said he already got his bolt, but i just wanted to chime in on this subject.

my g/f and i just got new phones. she got an inc2 and i got a bolt.

i am SOOO happy i went with the bolt. i've played around with both phones quite a bit and the bolt is hands down the better phone for all the geeks out there (myself included). if i couldn't root and play with roms and kernels way into the wee hours of the morning, i'd be bored out of my skull. :p

and of course 4g hotspots are sweet. i'm waiting for 4g coverage to creep up just a little closer and i'll have it at my apartment. right now 4g drops off about a mile and a half up the road. it's downright maddening, hah.
