First of all hi to all, first thread/ post in here. :)

I wanna buy an Android. It cannot be more expensive than approx $250, (unlocked, from eBay Uk) and has to be the best money can offer for the price.

Ive looked a bit on the web and shortlisted 3:

HTC Aria: Link
Pros: Small size, Good Brand, decent resolution even though screen is smaller, decent processor, price falls within range
Cons: Not the best screen size & resolution, and I think the model is not so new now, older version of Andriod.

HTC Wildfire: Link
Pros: couple of friends have it, nothing to complain whatsoever.
Cons: Even though screen size is the same as the HTC Aria, the resolution is just 240 x 320 pixels which is little less than the Aria and much less than the Ideos x5

Huawei X5: Link
Pros: great screen size, latest Android, great resolution, great pretty much everything on the spec list
Cons: Only thing that bothers me is the fear of having a phone with all the features which excels at none, I've seen mixed reviews about this phone & brand.. I know it's some Chinese which is usually associated with low-quality, cheap feel, looking & sounding stuff which breaks down or malfunctions after a week but this is a multinational company of huge success.. and Vodafone is also selling this phone in most countries under it's brand.

So, what do you guys think? would any one of these be your option if you wanted to buy an unlocked android with $250 or less or do you have some other options?

Any help will be appreciated, thank you for your time!

Regards,
Davide

what phone company are you with?
when was the last time you renewed your contract or got a new phone with your provider?

Well in Malta it's quite different, the only international provider is Vodafone and I'm with a local which keeps me bound for another year approx.

Then again, the local prices and offers are quite crappy, given the fact there's not much competition so providers can afford to keep prices high.

That's my main reason for getting unlocked from eBay.

Me thinks I'm going for the Huawei..

Main reasons:
- price
- 800Mhz
- Flash Support
- Screen Resolution
- Considering my doubts about the crappy quality, since it's not a popular brand, but then again.. Huawei is on of the world's biggest manufacturers so my mind should be at rest I guess..
- Would be nice if OS will be upgredeable to Android 2.3

---------------------

P.S. If I discover in the meantime that the WildFire S supports Flash without any hassle at all I will probably purchase the latter, especially since I've head many good things about this update.
