Hey y'all!

I just got my first Android, the DX2, and am in the process of looking for a case. I know myself, and despite delicately handling a $200 phone, I will be bound to drop it eventually. I'm wondering what cases you would recommended? So far it seems that Otterbox, Speck, Case Mate, Amzer, and Seidio are the top ones coming up. My only problem is that I would really like a "pretty" one (I am a girl after all :p) and I've seen the blinged out crystal cases that are appealing...only problem is they don't seem to be for durablility...so can I get a crystallized case that will be able to sustain a dropped phone? I appreciate the help!

I ordered a Qmadix Gel Case for mine. I like it a lot. It doesn't add much bulk and it keeps the front of the phone unobstructed.

Amazon.com: Qmadix Gel for Motorola MB810 DROID X Flex (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

I also ordered a full body skin from Best Skins Ever. I've had a positive experience with these in the past. I haven't received it yet. I'm not sure I'll use it when it gets here because I'm not sure if it will work with the desk and car docks. I'll give it a go when it gets here, but I think I'll end up sticking with the Qmadix.

got the same Qmadix Gel from amazon also, works great and fits great without the added bulk of an otterbox which is overkill.

plus you can access your buttons on the bottom, the cutouts are odd at the back, openings are too big and the extra cutout on the side serves no purpose either. but i've found it helps me grip the phone even better :D

very, very easy to remove and install, plus it doesn't attract dust or lint from pockets.

I love my otterbox! I got the defender series? I think that what it said on the box....it has the two cases (rubberized outer, plastic inner) what really sold me was the built in screen protector and belt clip with a stand to set up ur phone for videos on ur desk...may not be pretty and what not but I can imagine this really protects the phone!

I work outdoors part of the time and I can attest that the Otterbox is worth every penny if you're anywhere your phone can get beaten up. My DX/ Defender case has been with me on fires, logging jobs, helping me deadhead through the woods with GPS, take photos, and call from the middle of BFE. The Otterbox didn't blink at being dropped on or bumped into anything and I only had to pull it apart occasionally to clean up what dust made it through. It's a beast! :D

And just in case you think it's too much for indoors, I have some friends who also use one and, despite not going outdoors much, their cases look like hell. Their phones, however, look mint. It may not be a pretty option, but it is a tough one.
