Root How do you flash a new radio?

I'm wanting to update to the new leaked update, and I was wondering how you update the radio. I've read a lot about using HBoot, but I can't seem to find out what it is...

All I know is that I'm supposed to rename it to PG05IMG.zip

In CWR I see somthing named install zip from sdcard, is that where I go to select the new radio? This is my first root, so I'm just getting used to it.. Thanks!

Make sure the zip file is on the SD card in the root directory (not inside any other folders). Power down your phone and then power on while holding the volume down button. Once you get into hboot, it will check for new radios to install. Then it will prompt you to install it by pressing the volume up button.

if youve missed my lecture in other threads:

be extremely cautious flashing things via a security-off bootloader. its the singlemost likely way to turn your phone into an expensive paperweight if youre not careful,as the bootloader is doing NO checks to ensure a complete or uncorrupt file. it will try and flash litterally anything that you package up inside a PG05IMG file.

-make sure your card is formatted FAT32
-only use downloads from developers you know and trust
-make sure to double check the md5 of the radio download(i personally check it on my puter, and on the phone)
-make sure your phone is well charged before flashing ANYTHING in hboot. dieing midflash would be very, very bad.

the 2 most common errors folks have are:
1)SD card not formatted FAT 32
2)adding the .zip manually on a windows machine(makes the file actually named PG05IMG.zip.zip). the file must be named EXACTLY "PG05IMG.zip" or the phone will not find it.

I downloaded MD5 Check ver 2.1 and got a huge string of numbers/letters (4072B5954BF0032103B62C5AE69CB13E), what I am supposed to check this with?

There is an MD5 listed in the post with the radio download link. Compare that to the file you downloaded to ensure it is the correct file and/or not a partial download. :)
