Shortcut to Call History?

Just had to swap my phones under an insurance claim. My screen broke on my original DINC1 & they sent me a DINC2. Not happy that about the change but hopefully I can move on to a Verizon Samsung Galaxy SII soon...

Anyways, I use my phone for work mainly & it is nice to have quick access to my call history via shortcut on my Home Screen. I am not finding an option to add it as a shortcut anywhere. I was able to do this easily on my DINC1.

Can anyone help me out? I feel like such a newb asking this. I was pretty proficient with rooting my DINC1 & all that fun. Wish that was an option with the DINC2 so I could go back to SkyRaider & remove all this d@mn bloatware...

I feel for you. I'm hanging onto my Dinc as long as I can. Not that the Dinc2 isn't a great device, I'm just not ready to move on yet. Good luck

I don't see that chain of options anywhere on the DINC2. Where are you starting at to go from Menu>Add>Shortcut>Applications>Call History? I have tried to add every type of Widget, App, Shortcut, etc that I can find on the DINC2 natively. This was a super simple process on the DINC1, possibly similar to the path you mention.


However, I did find an app in the Market called Anycut. This allows you to create a shortcut to a lot of additional functions directly that you are not normally able to create a shortcut to. This app allowed me to make a shortcut to Call History directly on my DINC2 home screen. This accomplished exactly what I was looking to do.

From the home screen ... though I do use LauncherPro, but thought it was the same chain in Sense

Ok ... So I went into Sense and it is different, sorry for the mix up. From the home screen: Menu>Personalize>App (Under the Add items to Home)>AND ITS NOT THERE!!!! WTF!

I was going to say... it's in my app drawer, can't you just long press to put it on your home screen? I'm using Go Launcher - I guess that's why it's there for me too.

Going to give Anycut a shot. Sounds like a good app.

Drives me nuts though that shortcuts don't already exist for other things, like the car app, since I can't use the stock car mount due to my extended battery.

Anycut is ok ... but Desktop VisualizeRis WAY better. You can add shortcuts of any size ... change the icon ... change the text under the icon ... it is really slick. Here is a SC from their market page:

Everything on the SC is a shortcut ... even the two 4x1 images in the center.
