I know guys the Triumph is a recent phone compare to the indulge but why samsung never learn. Is like Samsung loves being las when it comes to building decent phones for prepaid carriers. Jesus Christ Samsung step up your game.

incase heres the specs of the Triumph:
KEY FEATURES:

here you go Konane

ALL phones on VM will be stock android onward! this is actually good news as i love stock andriod..

HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource - Virgin Mobile USA Sticking To Stock UI For Its Android Phones

I hope Metro is paying attention to the release of that phone on Virgin. I bet they are..... and had to run and change their underwear.

Stock android OS, 5 Mp camera w flash, 4 inch screen and very cheap plans... I am definitely thinking about saying BUH BYE Metro.

I know it's only 3G on the Triumph, but what good is LTE when you don't even get the signal all the time or when you do....your battery is dead lol!!!

im feeling the EXACT same way bro...im hold tight until a price comes out for the phone and then wait a few to see if metro has a response then make a decision to sell the indulge or just stay.. i always wanted stock andriod..and i'll use 3g over using 1x all day because i barely use 4g cuz i get shitty service in my house and when im on the road it dies in 4 hrs..

Exactly.... I will wait to see how much it is as well. Having 3G that works all the time would be better than 4G that sometimes works.

The Triumph has a small battery for the size of the phone. I think it's only 1200 compared to the 1500 of the Indulge, but if it doesn't suck down the battery at the rate of the Indulge then it won't matter.

METRO... YOU BETTER UP YOUR GAME or you're gonna have people defecting like flies to Virgin/Sprint!!

What Metro needs to do is lower the LTE prices
60 everything to 50, and their 50 to 40, force samsung to address the battery, overheating and updates and then the Triumph would lose its streak but if they don't address any of this issues then see a jump to Virgin mobile. Heck even I would jump if they priced it on par with the current indulge price

I will get the moto when it comes out.
I have had enough with the crappy service even thou I have been with metro since it first came to Miami back in 2002
I already ordered a VM Optimus V to replace the Optimus M I got for her.
I want good connection, speed that is ok, and know I got a phone that works
My Indulge has been going from 4G to 1X to 1D, I have had the OTA for a while
battery life still blows, in sitting there this weekend, 2.5 hours went from 100% to 76% and I did not use it at all. It's rooted, no background widgets or anything
Just tired of it. If 3G gives me half the speed and stays that way all the time, then it may be worth changing but my wife's, I am tired of going to voicemail when I call her and we are in the same large store/mall and she doesn't get signal or text.
Besides, for $10 cheaper per month ($40 vs $50), I want to save the money.
I pay $60 for the 4G and get crap. I would rather pay $40 and get crap but at least reliable crap.....:p

oh wow you got the update and still have battery issues? damn that sucks. I do agree this change of season is making my battery act all wacko. Yesterday went to Penn station to drop off my gf and before i left i had my indulge charged so like an hour and a half later my battery was half. I was like wtf my phone is on airplane mode since the subway ride is 45 minutes long. The only drawback on virgin is that their unlimited everything is 60 bucks.

Im sorry to say it guys. I dont think the Indulge will ever get much better on the power issue. Best bet is to get an extended battery (if they come out) and try to minimize 4g as much as possible. Which is kind of funny because thats why we all got the phone. Fact is my phone is essentially a portable modem. Plug into wall or car and voila. Its funny i left my phone in my car tethered on the other day and went into a restraunt and still maintained tether with my Xoom. Granted i was less than 30 feet from my car outside. Back to my point. The Indulge just does'nt have the kind of power sipping components it needs to be efficient. Fact is the 4g component was expensive both price and energy wise, And has ATM very little if any competitive edge. Having spent so much money on the hardware and still such limited understanding on the part of the samsung programmers/engineers on the android side in the newly developed 4g chips they are trying to integrate. They ended up cutting all the corners that really were what gave its value. The device was meant to have an amoled. Ripped that out and stuck in a much more power hungry lcd. All the while not putting any kind of power management hardware into the phone. Big mistake. I could go on and on about where they messed up. Hell their whole charging system is shit and the engineer who plotted it should get strung up by is scrotum.

The sad part is that they had the info from the thunderball and yet never bother to check the data.
