Guys, help me with my HTC desire battery life and facebook on 2g problems.

I just got a HTC desire and its running..

Android 2.2.1,

DeFroST-6.1a

2.6.35.-7defrost bravo

Whenever i turn my mobile data on, my battery drains like a water tap. However when i turn it off, the battery is ok. Any ideas what is draining my battery that fast? And one more thing. Whenever i turn my 2g on and try to load stuff on facebook for android, it doesnt load. Twitter still loads on 2g albeit slowly.

See the post in my signature. The amount of battery used by mobile data depends on the signal quality (bad signal = more power needed) and the amount of data you are sending/receiving.

Try changing how often your apps synchronize (less often = less power used).

Btw, Just realized i'm using ADW launcher. What is it? Does it drain the batt alot too? I'm a new android user.

Just turned off all the app sync, including background data sync. Hope it works!

Okay, i checked out my partial wake usage and found out this app thats using way alot of batt. Talkbox. What is partial wake anyway? Uninstalled talkbox too.

Paritial wake means that the app is actively doing something that is keeping your phone awake (not fully sleeping). Normally, when the screen is off, your phone should sleep most of the time (unless apps need to wake it up to check for emails or other things) and during sleep it uses less battery.
