All of your dislikes is why I bought a Charge yesterday. The Charge has none of the negatives that I had with the Thunderbolt. And I'm not even joking or trying to hype up the Charge. It's a great and underrated phone, I'm not even looking back.

We all appreciate the feedback, but do you find it necessary to talk about how great the charge is in every thread where someone mentions anything remotely negative about the tbolt?

Not trying to be a dick, but its not at all helpful.

Back on topic, i agree with most of the list, however i watch probably a good 45min of youtube on my lunch and i think the hottest its ever gotten is maybe 110, which is nothing to worry about with lithium ion batteries. That's also overclocked to 1.4. And speaking of the battery, its not the greatest as we all know, but good luck finding anything better in a 4g device. Id say its certainly manageable provided you're not syncing like mad unnecessarily.

With green power and running custom ROM and kernel, the battery literally does not move in standby.

The brilliant screen is a battery hog, just something you gotta deal with. There's always a tradeoff.

I'm sorry about that, I just thought I was helping. I know a lot of people on here are still within their 14 day return window and I just thought I could save some people the headache.

Look, the TB is a great phone on paper. In the real world there are just too many quirks to look past.

You want someone to show you a 4G phone with good battery life? I know you won't want to hear this, but the Charge. Right now I am at 6 hrs. 9 min. since off the charger and I'm at 75%. I would be at about 25-30% on my TB right now and pulling my charger out. And that is with the same usage patterns as I had with my TB.

Like I said, the TB could have been a great phone. And with these updates and Gingerbread, maybe it will be. But everything from the hardware to the software seemed rushed to me. I've never heard people go through more replacement phones until I got on this forum.

Since I am a HTC fan and did have a TB, I will continue to check this forum for the progress.

I've wondered the same thing.

as far as replacement phones I guess you never looked in all the other phone pages. I see many people on their 4th or 5 Droid, Droid inc and so on. We are seeing more people on the charge board getting replacement phones. Why you don't see more is the phone just came out. Give it time and it will be like every other phone.

Right now im 12.5 hours off the charger and at 40%..

Over 5 hours uptime. Standard battery.

Just sayin..

I agree with all your likes but only liked the thunder sound the first 5 times, then it got old pretty quick.

As for your dislikes, I've needed a couple of spare batteries (including an extended life one) on my last 4 phones so this one is not fundamentally different, 'though I do use my spares more with the ThunderBolt.

My phone does not run hot, nor does it ever lag or have any light seepage. I have had some infrequent data connectivity issues but very frew reboots and none in the past two and a half weeks. Hopefully this will be fixed in a couple of days.

Biggest weakness is the screen being usually useless outdoors.

As much as I like the kickstand, it would be much better to have a 2000 mAh battery and just get a case with a kickstand.

According to Corning, the ThunderBolt does have Gorilla Glass.

Whoa...lets not alienate anyone here.

I get what you guys are saying but just because someone exchanges their phone for something else doesn't mean that they can no longer post here.

So what's the problem if someone bought a Charge and wants to share comparisons to the TBolt in threads where people are talking about the pros and cons of the TBolt?

Don't feel compelled to defend your purchases. I'm not running out to buy a Charge but then again, I obviously don't have the same issues with my phone as I'm sitting here after 14 hours off the charger with my TBolt and I'm showing 43% battery life left. If I had the same issues some people are having...I probably would have been gone too.
