I have to say, I've tried five different ROMs in the past two weeks and Charity 12.1 is hands down the most stable and snappy ROM I've used.
It's not perfect, I've had force closes, reboots, and hangs... but the same thing happened on the Verizon ROM.
Just to note:
I've had the issue with the keyboard light not coming on also. I've wiped all caches 2 to 3 times... tried Charity 12, then four others, then Charity 12, and Charity 12.1 wiping after each... dump. Not that I care, I never use the damn thing... but just as an FYI.
and some questions:
Does the new ROM have the tweaks outlined in the links below?
[Script] V6 SuperCharger !! HTK & BulletProof Launchers! FIX MEMORY FOR ALL ANDROIDS!
[Script][CWM] Increase Read Cache for better SD Card access
I notice you have the CPU set to 700MHz. Do you recommend using SetCPU or any kind of overclocking software, or is the happy medium?
...and some issues:
This is from a 3x wipe and formatted SD card.
1. Sometimes when the phone is answered the mic longer works. Speaker phone screen button and Volume rocker is unresponsive... may have to force close the phone app to break the connection.
2. Music app causes a gap or skip within the first 30 seconds of every song. Never occurred before with same files and works fine in MortPlayer.
3. Would love to see the camera button work as a play/pause button in the lock screen.
The last is not an issue but a request... I had to think hard about it. I looked over the feature list and I've been able to successfully do everything on the list. Wifi tethering, wifi hotspot, HBO Go... had to change my build.prop to trick the app into letting the Droid 1 to work and I couldn't directly download it... but it works... very well. It's not bloated, but still gives all the bells and whistles without sacrificing stability. The addition of Smart Shortcuts to LaunchPro's dock swipe feature and SwitchPro Widget to round out the native Power Control, and you have an efficient and flexible UI.
Just Love It!
