Again got confirmation today. I even read information about 2.3 launch in our bulletins. There will be a small deployment tomorrow followed by the full launch on Monday so some will get the update on Friday but most will follow on Monday.
Hello there! Man, I've been out of the upgrade loop for a while. Here's what I remembered: When my phone first upgraded to Froyo 2.2, I remembered that the charge rate of the phone was reduced (confirmed by HTC) to the point that I wasn't able to use GPS and charge the battery (It was actually losing charge while plugged in). So, to solve this problem, I simply downgraded back to 2.1, which is what I'm running now. Do you think that 2.3 Gingerbread will be hampered by this charge rate too? I'm really curious to upgrade.
Thanks!!!
Anyone know the likelihood if this update closing any of the "hidden" menu tweaks such as that allow for tethering, stop popups when connecting via usb etc?
Haha, this is Light Grid Pro as well!
November OTA fixed that and a few other issues. There are many ROMs floating around based on that, including the one in my sig.
November was awhile ago!
can't wait for the next OTA!
hopefully the inc2 get's it first though lol.

Nothin here either. I'm constantly checking for system updates too... although I suppose I would get some sort of notification anyway, right?
I would think... But I'm not holding my breath, especially since there's been no other leaks/tidbits anywhere else, other than this mysterious Evan...
I suppose I could say I work for Verizon's Android division, and could state that I've seen that the Ice Cream Sandwich update will be coming out instead of GB...
to stop pop up CDROM when pluggin in phone:
follow these steps:

Hit menu, commit modifications (it will say no item changed)
Back out to home
Verizon typically does small pushes to begin a roll-out, followed by a mass roll-out. If what he said was true, it will be sometime next week that you get your update (with Monday being the first big wave). These updates aren't pushed out to every owner over the course of one day. They usually go at least a week, sometimes longer.
With that said, I stated a page or two back that I was skeptical because this is the same thing we put up with in regards to Froyo from June through August. It won't be any different here. Expect a constant stream of self-proclaimed insiders claiming to know the date, and being wrong, before the date finally comes.
