I was wondering because there are a lot of Java games that could be compatible with Android.
I was wondering because i, myself, have a Droid X, and i use the Wireless 3G hotspot, and i am about to get an Android Tablet, and Tablets are made for browsing and gaming, and Java would be nice with a Tablet if i were wanting to play Java games on it.
I say this because playing RuneScape on a Tablet would be sick. Don't talk trash because i play that :p i was just wondering if anyone knows how to get Java on Android?

Why would someone mean that? If by flash you mean baked potatoes.

Anyhow, there definitely *was* a java app available for android, i had it in a custom ROM for the htc hero at one point (think it might have been MoDaCo...). Can't find it anywhere now though.

[edit] It was jbed

:D this response made me smile.

As an android developer I can confirm that android applications are Java based. The problem is that the way java is embed into webpages varies and its a difficult task for google... its not an overnight sorta process...

As there is so many different android handsets it makes it an ever harder job. Just getting an android application to be reasonably compatible with multiple handsets is a hard enough task.
