Htc Sensation and the Galaxy S 2 SOUND

I would appreciate your opinions between the Samsung Galaxy S2 vs Htc Sensation
Sound and clarity are very important to such as/speakerphone/talking on the phone/media player sound/game sound. On a scale of 1-10(MAX) I would like to have sufficent/loud sound at 6 and not have to play it a full volume.
To give you and example I listened to the Htc Legend which has good sound but not very loud.(But better sound than the Samsung Galaxy S(I was surprised) I listened to the Atrix and was impressed with the volume/clarity of music.
I'm leaning towards the Htc Sensation but have no idea about the sound.
I don not intend to use a small amp with unit. I will purchase good headphone

The best sound quality I have ever heard on a phone is on a nokia n8 (through ear phones).

Out of your choices of phones only, personally I think the sensation wins on sound. Rather disappointed with sgs2 in that respect.

Ive just bought the galxy s 2 snd compared to the nexus one the sound quality is excellent but i came across the artical and video which might help HTC Sensation hands-on video and initial review | Android Central

From what some people are saying over on xda, the sound on the GSII is better. HTC's apparently have always had poor, tinny sound - I've only had one, and although I don't use it much/at all, it does sound very tinny, but I have no other top-notch devices to compare it to.

I just swapped my HTC Desire HD to SGS2.
DHD is good phone, but last update from htc was kinder disappointment. In sound quality, I would say DHD is bit clearer but very quite, SGS2 much louder.

See I've heard the Desire HD quality is absolutely rubbish, from many people. It just shows that it's all personal opinion. I'd base the decision on something else.

Volume threw earphones in a call is very bad.on sgs2.im pretty sure.htcs is better but the loud speaker on this is sweet. and yh DHD sound was sooooo low it depressed me .

Mainly i moved from DHD, because last 2.3.3 update. Phone became more slower, started eating battery. 2.3 update did not do much improvements on DHD. When holding DHD and SGS2, DHD feels like more quality build, but its only looks and feel.

For me what did it was that fact that HTC, just don't innovate enough. Same old, less RAM and less storage.

Desire --> Desire HD --> Senation - Nothing dramatic - okay dual core - but all new (top-level) phones have that. Shape desire is pretty much the same - Feel - it's same old. Tbh, I've been with the desire, and i just want a change.

Plus i'm paranoid about running out of space like on my desire. :/

found this, not sure why he kept them together alot, cant really hear which one is which, but i still like the SG2. the HTC is defiantly more clear but quieter/tinnier, SG2 much louder. i would rather hear a loud ring over not hearing it at all when a distance away...

while im ere, a video test. once again, i like the darker/blacker image...not overbearing glare.
mind you, an external video will never do the both justice over seeing it in real life....

Better browser
Better sound quality by the sounds of the reviews out to date
Better battery life
Better responsiveness (although marginal benefit by the sounds of it)
Better CPU/GPU (again, in actual use may not amount to much)
Better storage
Better camera
Better connectivity with USB OTG WiFi direct + the usuals

Sensation over the SGSII:
Better display resolution
Better physical design and ergonomics
Better stock UI (although this is a marginal benefit to all except real Sense fans)

Yeah i moved from desire hd to sgs2 the hd sound was ridiculously quiet,the sgs2 sound is very good you can put it down at side of you and listen to your music very clearly!and good through headphones also

Saw that review, not particularly good! Check the threads on it at Xda-devs. You'll notice he gets the camera comparison completely wrong for example (check gsmarena comparison article to see how wrong that articles conclusion is).

I strongly agree with his analysis. A smartphone with duo core 1.2ghz must comr with plenty of memory. No matter how fast the processor of the phone has, the phone speed will be tarnished or cripple by lack of internal memory. 1gb memory is so little in todays context.

What a pitty for HTC Sensation. No use having just pretty look but lack of brain.
One thing I do not deny Apple Iphone can maintain a good quality build of phone and memory of phone. Rarely you heard iphone user complain phone lack of memory and no internal memory to upgrade new rom.

HTC = total ram memory 768mb , Available 558mb , free after clear memory 185mb

GS2 = total ram memory 1024mb, Available 837mb ,free after clear memory 558mb

The Samsung GS2 has over 3 x as much free ram memory as the HTC Sensation.

That`s a lot more free ram memory for games and app designers to play with.

My Galaxy S2 arrived from Dial a phone yesterday. It was a new contract. I am very impressed with them. Its nice its unlocked and unbranded. Mine is on O2.
