Hi everyone! My name is Shane (obviously) and I live in good ol' SE Texas.
Last week, I was finally able up upgrade to the phone I've been lusting over: the Samsung Droid Charge at Verizon. I'm moving up (way up) to this phone from a Blackberry Curve! I must say, the learning curve has not been as steep as I originally thought. Android is a very nice intuitive OS, and now, after having this phone for a week, the hot wife wants to upgrade her BB Curve to a Droid as well (we have her Droid X on order )!
I'm an electronics technician by trade and dable quite a bit in computers. I'm familiar with Windows and OS X but my soft spot is Linux which is the main thing that drew me to Android originally. So far, I'm in heaven! I honestly have not found a thing this phone cannot do yet! All the limitations I had with the Curve are gone. GONE, I say!
Anyway, thanks for letting me introduce myself. I've been doing much lurking already, trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can.
